In sifting my way through the land of freelance writing, I have encountered and interacted with many accomplished women in this competitive industry. In their willingness to mentor me, I have found the courage to thrust myself head first into unknown territories. Rejection is commonplace here in the world of writing. But, oh how glorious it is when you get that letter or email stating acceptance of your article!
My background as a registered nurse and employment in the pharmaceutical industry provides the knowledge base I need for medical writing, which I enjoy. But my true passion is nonfiction writing. After caring for both parents at end of life, I realized it was time to write and share my experiences. With life lessons learned, I see more clearly now and know that all my "adventures" have made me who I am today.
This blog will chronicle my journey and hopefully provide any helpful hints I learn along the way from writing hooks to publication. I will also be posting links to my published articles.
